Ycona Luxury Resort

Set on Zanzibar's unspoiled east coast, Ycona Luxury Resort reveals a more authentic and untouched side of the island. This villa-only eco-luxury retreat is set within 60,000 sqm of lush tropical gardens and stretches along 500 metres of private white-sand beach, overlooking the turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean and Zanzibar's iconic sandbanks. 

Conceived by an Italian couple, Ycona was born from the vision of creating a destination where hospitality, nature and responsible luxury come together in perfect harmony. Its name is inspired by the letter "Y", a symbol of women and their essential role in society. The resort features 40 independent villas, ranging from one to three bedrooms, including 14 villas with private pools. Designed for couples, honeymooners and families alike, Ycona offers four restaurants, threebars, a large swimming pool, The Cave Spa, and a curated collection of bespoke experiences, ensuring every stay is entirely personalised.

In early March, I travelled for one week with ASIBI, our boutique DMC specialising in fully tailor-made itineraries in Morocco. Nothing is pre-set. Each journey is crafted as a story, shapedby encounters, landscapes and people.

ASIBI is a luxury boutique DMC, a creator of experiences revealing a poetic, confidential and deeply human Morocco. Founded by Mario Teixeira, who has been based in Morocco for over 25 years, ASIBI designs tailor-made journeys where European elegance meets Moroccan roots with precision and authenticity.

Each itinerary offers a unique immersion: from palaces and intimate riads to desert lodges and private camps, from the hidden oasis of the South to the historic cities and contemporary coastal destinations of the North. Beyond its role as a DMC, Mario is also developing his own hospitality project in the southern desert, set to open in 2027, further extending his vision of a refined and unseen Morocco.

ADLER Thermae

ADLER Thermae is located in the heart of the Val d’Orcia, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in southern Tuscany. Set amidst rolling hills, vineyards and cypress-lined landscapes, the resort is just a short walk from the historic thermal village of Bagno Vignoni and enjoys direct access to its renowned thermal waters.  

Inspired by the colours and materials of Tuscany, ADLER Thermae combines traditional Tuscan architecture with contemporary comfort. Surrounded by nature, it offers a peaceful setting where guests can relax, slow down and experience the region’s unique atmosphere.  

At the heart of the resort is the thermal wellness area, featuring indoor and outdoor thermal pools, saunas, relaxation spaces and a wide range of spa and medical wellness treatments. The surrounding Val d’Orcia offers countless opportunities for hiking, cycling, wine experiences and cultural excursions to some of Tuscany’s most iconic villages and towns, including Pienza, Montalcino and Montepulciano.  

Free underground parking and electric vehicle charging stations are available.  

The property is easily accessible: Florence airport is 112 miles (~1h45) away, Rome airport is 131 miles (~2h25) away, and Pisa airport is 143 miles (~2h30) away, while Perugia airport is 68 miles (~1h15) away.

ADLER Alpe

ADLER Alpe is located on Alpe di Siusi, the largest high-altitude plateau in the Dolomites and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Set at 1,800 metres above sea level and surrounded by unspoiled nature, it enjoys breathtaking views of the Sassolungo and Sasso Piatto peaks.  

Designed as a unique alpine lodge, ADLER Alpe combines traditional South Tyrolean architecture with influences from African safari lodges. Natural wood, panoramic terracesand sweeping views of the Dolomites create an atmosphere of warmth, privacy and a strong connection to the surrounding landscape. 

Here, guests can experience the mountains in every season. With direct access to hiking trails, ski slopes and a wide range of outdoor activities, ADLER Alpe is the ideal retreat for nature lovers, outdoor enthusiasts and those seeking to unwind in a spectacular alpine setting. The panoramic wellness area features an indoor-outdoor pool, saunas, relaxation spaces and treatment rooms overlooking the Dolomite landscape.  

Due to its location within a protected landscape area, access by car is restricted and permitted only with a special pass issued by the hotel. Free indoor parking is available. 

The airport of Bolzano is approximately 38 km (≈ 1 hour) away, Chiusa/Klausen train station is 30 km (≈ 40 minutes) away, Innsbruck Airport is 121 km (≈ 2 hours) away, and Verona Airport is 188 km (≈ 2 hrs 20 mins).

Saint Roch

Nestled in the heart of the prestigious Jardin Alpin, just moments from the centre of Courchevel 1850 and the Bellecôte ski slope, Hôtel Saint Roch becomes the fifth property in the Maisons Pariente collection.

Designed by the renowned Friedmann & Versace studio, the hotel blends contemporary elegance with the authentic spirit of an alpine chalet. Warm wood, noble materials and couture-inspired details create a refined yet inviting atmosphere. Its 37 rooms and suites, including a 245 sqm Penthouse available for exclusive use, offer an intimate mountain retreat.

After a day exploring the slopes of Les Trois Vallées, guests can unwind at the Tata Harper Spa, featuring an indoor swimming pool, hammam and fitness area. A restaurant, bar and lounge complete this new address, designed as a true sanctuary in the heart of Courchevel.

The hotel is conveniently located 15 minutes from Moûtiers–Salins TGV station, 1 hour from Chambéry Airport, and approximately 2 hours from Geneva and Lyon airports.

ADLER Sicilia

ADLER Sicilia is the newest jewel of the ADLER Collection, owned by the Sanoner family, hoteliers since 1810.

Nestled on a hill overlooking the azure sea off the Agrigento coast, the hotel offers both a panoramic location and direct access to a fine white sand beach bordered by a Mediterranean pine forest,15 minutes walking or 8 minutes by shuttle. It is in an exclusive area overlooking the sea of Siculiana, on the southwestern coast of Sicily and borders the Torre Salsa Nature Reserve, one of the most famous protected areas of the island.

Built according to the principles of sustainable architecture, the concept has a minimal impact on the surrounding landscape.

The airports of Palermo, Trapani and Comiso are approximately 150km - 1h45 travel time and Catania 195km / 2h away.

Free indoor parking is available, the hotel also has electric cars and offers daily rental vehicles for excursions.
