Adler : From mountain hostel to Alpine empire
In 1810, Josef Anton Sanoner acquired an auberge in Ortisei, a picturesque village in the Val Gardena valley, nestled in the heart of the Italian Dolomites. Celebrate the Redentore in Venice
Every year in Venice, the month of July brings with it an emblematic celebration : the Redentore.
This celebration has its origins in the 16th century, marked by a terrible epidemy of pests that devastated the city. When the pestilence began to recede, the Church of the Redentore was raised on the island of Giudecca as a sign of gratitude and devotion.
