The Most Meaningful Ones Are Measured by Trust. 

Act I - Where It All Began 

Some collaborations begin with a carefully prepared presentation. 

Others begin with an immediate feeling that you have just met people who share the same vision. 

Ours with Maisons Pariente belongs to the latter. 

When Laura first met the Pariente family in 2019, LC DISTINCTIVE was still at the very beginning of its journey. Having recently launched her consultancy, Laura arrived at that first meeting with the excitement and the quiet uncertainty, that often accompanies the beginning of any entrepreneurial journey. 

Across the table were Leslie Kouhana and Kimberley Cohen, preparing to bring their family's vision to life: a collection of independent luxury hotels, each with its own personality, yet united by a shared philosophy of hospitality, elegant, deeply personal and rooted in a genuine sense of place. 

What followed was far more than a business conversation. As we would say in France, it was a genuine coup de cœur. 

What connected us wasn't simply a passion for hospitality, but a shared belief that the most memorable experiences always begin with people. 

Neither of us knew it then, but that first meeting would become the beginning of a shared journey. 

Act II - Building the Foundations 

Turning an ambitious vision into a recognised hospitality brand requires clear positioning, thoughtful preparation and the ability to ensure that every commercial decision reflects the identity of the brand. 

With the launch of three five-star hotels within a remarkably short timeframe, the early stages of the collection required both strategic thinking and hands-on involvement. 

The ambition was not simply to prepare three successful openings, but to establish a collection with strong foundations while preserving the distinctive identity imagined by the Pariente family. 

Working alongside the Pariente family from the very beginning, Laura contributed to bringing that vision to life supporting the commercial launch of the first properties, developing relationships with the international luxury travel trade and helping create the foundations for the collection's long-term growth. 

As the collection evolved, so did our role. During a key stage of development, Laura assumed the position of Interim Director of Sales, ensuring continuity while the internal commercial team was being established. 

Once the permanent commercial structure was in place, the collaboration naturally evolved again. LC DISTINCTIVE continued to support Maisons Pariente as its sales representation partner across key European markets, a role that continues to this day.
